Seating Plans
is comprised of six seating plans of wedding receptions, each depicting the bride, groom and their respective parents and step-parents. The prints are based on actual wedding receptions collected from volunteer couples. Transcribed according to a set system of colors and symbols, the plans address the institutional nature of marriage while simultaneously inspiring portraits and narratives of family relationships.
